Notes:

• It's a concept album based on the Todd McFarlane's comic book series Spawn, narrating the story of the former government agent Al Simmons, who was betrayed and murdered by his own boss. Al's soul was sent to hell, where he makes a deal and manages to return back to life with demonic powers. Now, Al becomes the Spawn and seeks for revenge against those who betrayed him and took him away from his beloved family.
• The guitarist Jon Schaffer is a big fan of the character Spawn and eventually he met his creator Todd McFarlane himself and asked him to create an artwork for this concept album, and McFarlane agreed.
